We are currently hiring for the below roles in the Darling Downs:

  • Junior Youth Workers 

As an emerging Youth Worker, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of Children and Young people to attend community based activities. You will also be responsible for supervising family contact shifts. You may also be required to prepare and submit entry level case notes, and participate in any other recording or administration of documentation.

  • Experienced Youth Workers & Residential Youth Workers

ProCare Australia support a number of Residential Out of Home Care providers within Queensland with Labour Hire, giving you the opportunity to work across a variety of key organisations

Experienced Youth Workers may also undertake transport and supervised family contact shifts for Children and Young People who are involved with the Department of Child Safety. 

 

As the need and demand of the Community Services sector continues to grow, ProCare Australia are expanding their team of flexible, hard working and passionate Youth Workers. Providing trauma informed, strengths based and client-centred support to Children and Young People and their families is at the core of this role.

Shifts will be offered according to your preferences, skills and experience. Residential Youth Workers must have availability for sleepover shifts and weekend shifts. 

 

To be Successful:

  • Enrolled in Certificate IV level qualification in a Youth / Community Service related field 
  • Current Open Drivers License. 
  • Current Blue Card (Paid).
  • Current National Police Check (Within 12 Months).
  • Current First Aid (3 years) & CPR Certificate (12 months).
  • A vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance.
  • Regular availability for day, evening and weekend shifts.
  • A booster seat and/or infant car seat

Desirable:

  • Hope and Healing Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening 
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained.
  • Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients.
  • Experience working with children, young people and/or families
  • An understanding of trauma and attachment theories. 

 

Salary & Benefits:

  • $31 – $62 per hour + penalty rates + 11.5% super  
  • Night, weekend and public holiday penalty rates on top of the base rate
  • Kilometric Allowance reimbursement when transporting Children / Young People
