The Role:
The Services Coordinator role is a full-time and a Work from Home based position. It will also involve occasional travelling to provide face-to-face support in the community. Travel to further destinations such as Mackay, Fraser or other North QLD locations may be required.
The Service Coordinator position is an administrative based role and will provide quality management and risk mitigation over all case management, ensuring the case management principles and processes are inclusive, individualised, holistic, and driven with passion and creativity by the contracted practitioner.
They will provide guidance, support and coordination to contractors and professionals working directly with the families to ensure all interactions are ethical, results driven, inclusive, individual and purposeful. Service Coordinators will have direct contact with their families through direct work and in a supervisory capacity, supporting the contracted practitioner.
Service Coordinators will be required to work from QLD Safeguarding and Child Protection legislation and embrace a trauma-responsive practice. This will be conducted in an inclusive and person-centred approach and embody the principles of working alongside the family in their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating a high level of administration-based tasks.
- Oversight of all case management and support contracted practitioners manage their families, manage risk, identify opportunities etc.
- Be able to work autonomously in practice, and as part of the wider team, coordinating the delivery of high-quality case management, risk management and guidance to support people, i.e.: contractors, youth workers/ volunteers in the case.
- Engage clients in a range of therapeutic, trauma recovery, parenting programs, intervention tools, and community resources.
Requirements of the role:
- Hold at 3 least years experience in Case Management
- Team leader/management skills are desirable but not essential
- Formal tertiary qualification degree within a relevant Community Services scope – highly desirable
- Diploma qualifications will be considered if accompanied by a high level of experience
- Hold a valid Australian Driver’s License
- Hold a valid Blue Card (paid)
Salary and Benefits:
- $92000 – $95000 salary subject to level of experience
- $3600 travel allowance per annum
