We are seeking expressions of interest for a First Responder role with Immigrant Women’s Support Services in West End.

Overview:

• Female staff only, as permitted in s105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act.
• Both locum positions are paid at Category 3 rates – $56.00 per hour + 12% super.
• URGENT start | Commencing from 7^th July | 2x 4 week locums with possible extension
• Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm.
• West End office location
• Limited street parking available

First Responder Role:

Mandatory Requirements:

• Female staff only, as permitted in s105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act.
• Mimimun Diploma qualification required
• Blue Card
• Current Police Check
• “C” class driver’s licence
• Right to work in Australia
• Strong phone skills and ability to respond to multiple incoming calls and referrals

Summary:

• Respond promptly and sensitively to initial contact from clients by phone, online platforms, or in person.
• Conduct preliminary risk screening and initial safety assessments in line with the Domestic and Family Violence Common Risk and Safety Framework (CRASF).
• Provide short-term, trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
• Prioritise and triage clients based on urgency and safety risk, and escalate critical cases appropriately
